2027 Māori Touch Tamariki Tournament
Māori Touch NZ is excited to confirm the Tamariki Tournament will be hosted in Te Tai Tokerau in 2027! This two-day event caters to Under 10s, Under 12s, Under 14s, Under 16s Boys, Girls & Mixed.
Like our National Tournament, players must whakapapa Māori and represent hapū, rohe, iwi and/or takiwā. On Saturday afternoon we host Wā Whakangahau - an opportunity for competing rohe/iwi to celebrate their māoritanga by performing their waiata and haka on stage.
Taonga are awarded to each grade winner, and there is an overall kaupapa award presented to the rohe/iwi that exemplifies the spirit of what Māori Touch is all about.

Event Date & Venue: Sat 23 & Sun 24 January 2027 @ Kensington Sports Park, Whangārei
Entry Fee Per Team: $400 (incl. GST)
Age Criteria: players must be under age of grade as at 31 December 2026
- U10 as at 31 Dec 2026 / Born 2017 or later
- U12 as at 31 Dec 2026 / Born 2015 or later
- U14 as at 31 Dec 2026 / Born 2013 or later
- U16 as at 31 Dec 2026 / Born 2011 or later
